The mythological dictionary of the Altaians is the result of many years of research into the mythological vocabulary of the southern (Altai-Kizhi, Telengits and Teleuts) and northern dialect groups of the Altaians (Chalkans, Kumandins, Tubalars). For the first time in domestic and world folklore, the author carried out a systematic description of the key ideas and mythological concepts of the Altaians. The ethnolinguistic orientation of the mythological dictionary made it possible to identify and describe 425 mythems, which are systematized by thematic sections: the world deities and spirits, the natural world, the human world, the material world, signs of objects.
