The book was written by the famous Ukrainian politician Vitalii Kononov. The work reflects the results of his journey along the river Pivdennyi Buh. While travelling he got acquainted with different people. The aim the author follows in the book is to discover the soul of the Ukrainian people, emphasizing their mystery and open-heartedness. V.Kononov is one of few Ukrainian politicians who has so close and trusting relations with electorate. The author also shares his point of view on some acute problems of modern Ukraine.
