The author Viviana Assa explores the traditions of the local Jews and recalls her journalistic interviews with major figures, such as poet Hristo Fotev, Pope John Paul II and clairvoyant Vanga. She also shares her thoughts about her husband, poet Rumen Leonidov. Assa says: "I dedicate this book to my grandchildren. They were born and raised outside Bulgaria and I suspect they will never learn any details about my family roots.
