The memoirs by Prince Mikhail Golitsyn (1873-1942), kept in the family archive, are published for the first time. M.Golitsyn was a remarkable public figure in Russia before the Revolution. His recollections the prince wrote at the end of his life, in the Soviet period, but the manuscript was soon lost. Still an authorized typewritten copy of the “My Recollections” has survived. In the book the author narrates about life of the large Golitsyn family, who lived in Pokrov Street, about the many-sided way of life and living in Moscow and Russia at the end of the XIXth – beginning of the XXth century. The book also contains many unique photos from the Golitsyns’ archive.
