The photo album was prepared for the 95th anniversary of Sergei Vladimirovich Marakov, a scientist, biologist-game expert, writer, teacher, photographer, who devoted most of his life to the Commanders. The photographs presented in the photo album were taken by S. V. Marakov in the 1950s–1980s. The accompanying texts are excerpts from his popular science books and stories, notes from his field diaries, as well as excerpts from letters to his friend N. N. Grakov and his wife R. N. Marakova. The photo album is compiled in accordance with the surviving plan of his unpublished book.
