In 1996 the author of this book was taken to court for the book under consideration which was thought to be an undesirable, not patriotic, unacceptable interpretation of Russian history. Today some critics suppose if the book is not a thriller, then at least, suspense and action. And the author claims the history of Russia has not been written yet and the country must be immediately saved from the eternal Russian slough. And then the Statue of Liberty will proudly adorn the Kremlin, GULAGs, etc. as an eternal symbol of our victory.
