The book presents items from the exposition of the museum located on the territory of Sviyazhsk, a monument with a unique history. Materials of archaeological researches of excavation of "Tatarskaya Slobodka" in 2011-2014 were published for the first time. The paper describes and shows the medieval town-planning traditions and material culture of the city of Sviyazhsk in the 16th–18th centuries.
