The book about the long-term head of the Museum of the History of the Murmansk Shipping Company Valentina Ivanovna Karepova (July 6, 1939 - June 14, 2020) includes the memoirs of her friends and colleagues, including the chief librarian of the Department of Regional Studies of the Murmansk State Regional Universal Scientific Library S.A. Savilov, Fleet historian and writer B.M. Blinov, captains V.V. Kislyakov and L.A. Tibryaeva, MMP electrician G.A. Nezgovorov, Vice-President of the Association of Polar Explorers, Honorary Polar Explorer of the Russian Federation V.I.Strugatsky, historian and writer N A. Kuznetsov, Director of the Murmansk Regional Center for Civil and Patriotic Education of Youth M. G. Oreshet, journalists G. I. Smirnova and N. N. Chesnokova, T. V. Smolyarchuk, the widow of the writer Vitaly Maslov V. U. Maslov.
A significant place in the book is occupied by "Selected Bibliography (1994–2019)" of works by V. I. Karepova, photographs from the archives of the Karepov family and the authors of the book are presented.
