One of the main poets of modern Belarus Dmitry Strotsev was an active participant in the protests in Minsk. For the collection of poems "850 lines" Dmitry Strotsev was awarded the Russian Prize of the third degree for 2007 (nomination "Poetry"). Dmitry Strotsev's "Monk of Faith" is something like a promise that has not yet been fully heard, but has already come true. This is the first text written in Russian and addressed not to the past or present, but directly to the future, existing for tomorrow's reader and the new world: post-Soviet, post-cultural, post-apocalyptic, posthumous and in a new way alive. If this world is to have a Homeric epic, it is now.
