The depressing anti-utopian environment of the near future and the gentle and kind humor of everyday little things - the author combines these contrasts into an absorbing text. In the background, we suspect a catastrophe that has abolished all the systems in operation: from supplying the city to neighborly or familial living together. However, we do not follow the whole society and its struggle for survival, the emphasis is on the personal stories of three heroines, old women. They have, in spite of everything, their everyday life, friendly relationships and their flaws, and face a completely different, personal challenge: aging.
