This is the third book by Yuri Shleikin in a series he conceived under the general title “Business Trip to the 20th Century.” It is published with the subtitle “Born in the USSR.” Its heroes are revolutionaries and the first leaders of Soviet Karelia; our fellow countrymen are Heroes of the Soviet Union, who liberated the land of Ukraine from the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War; residents of post-war Karelia, famous for their work and creativity in economics, culture and art. A significant part of the book is devoted to a project that the author implemented for the 90th anniversary of the Republic of Karelia.
