The Central House of Officers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus hosted a presentation of the book “Military intelligence officers – natives of Belarus on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War”, published with the support of the Development Bank. On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, the Belarusian public association "Veterans of Military Intelligence", together with the Russian regional public organization "Council of Military Intelligence Veterans", published a unique book, which uses rare archival documents of the GRU of the General Staff of the Red Army. Based on these documents, many exploits of military intelligence officers - natives of Belarus, their courage, courage and heroism during the Great Patriotic War became known. Vasily Shved, Deputy Chairman of the Board, in his speech at the presentation of the book, noted that today we remember with pride and gratitude everyone who gave us the future, who defended the independence of our state at the cost of the most difficult trials. “The Development Bank pays special attention to preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War, as well as the patriotic education of young people. The Board of the Development Bank responded with great interest to the proposal of the Belarusian Public Association "Veterans of Military Intelligence" to support the publication of this book, which is unique in its content and meaning. It tells about those soldiers and military intelligence officers, thanks to whose heroism and courage Belarus wrote the Great Victory into the pages of its history. Our sacred duty is not to forget about those who by their feat won for us the right to live under a peaceful sky,” said Vasily Shved.
