Editor Vladimír Godar's aim was to concentrate the transformations of reflection related to the personality and work of Mikulas Moyzes (1872-1944) in one publication in the greatest possible breadth, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mikulas Moyzes. As an unintended consequence of this endeavour, the history of Slovak musical hermeneutics itself became the object of the publication, and not only in relation to Moyzes' work. The initial position of Moyzes - a Hungarian organist, church musician and composer - gradually changed into the position of Moyzes - a Slovak pedagogue and composer. The whole is supplemented by important information lists.
