This large-scale publication contains unique materials related to the life and work of Lermontov: autographs and artistic heritage of the poet; portraits of Lermontov, his relatives, friends and acquaintances; the first publications of his works and reviews of critics of that time; handwritten materials and documents related to the history of the noble Lermontov family. This album-catalogue is the first attempt to systematize and make accessible to the general public the materials stored in the museum collection. Many of the documents presented have not been previously published, which makes this publication especially valuable for researchers and lovers of literature.
