The proposed analysis of M.A. Bulgakov's novel "Fatal Eggs" is based on the principles of the so-called "universal knowledge" of Romanticism. This analysis allows readers to fully appreciate the Faustian essence of Professor Persikov's image and come closer to understanding Bulgakov's mysticism and its connection with research facts. The novel "Fatal Eggs" is considered in comparison with H.G.
