The author presents the methodological approaches to evaluation of foreign trade ties effectiveness on macroeconomic level. Having applied the presented methodology to real-life figures, he analyzes the exports and imports of the Republic of Belarus in 1996-2001. The book also focuses on the expediency of retrospective analysis as a basis for planning and forecasting of foreign trade of the Republic of Belarus.
