The present edition is a transcription by Dr. Nikolay Ivanov Kolev of the original book, published for the first time by the printing house of Iv. K. Tsutsev in Sofia in 1900. Its author, Stefan Ivanov Kisov, was a participant in the Russo-Turkish War (1877-1878), a Bulgarian officer, colonel, commander of the II Infantry Strum Regiment and the Breznish Detachment during the Serbian - the Bulgarian war (1885). He was born on November 15, 1861 in Bolgrad, United Principality of Wallachia and Moldavia, and died on November 14, 1915 (age 53) in Sofia, Kingdom of Bulgaria. He was buried in the Central Sofia Cemetery. He is a holder of the Order of St. Vladimir, 4th degree.
