As the chairman of the board of Belgazprombank Viktor Babariko (now a political prisoner) noted in the foreword to the album, the bank has been purposefully restoring the lost by the national culture for many years, collecting works of Belarusian artists around the world, and now the corporate collection of the bank can rightfully be considered one of the most original, and not only in our country.
A unique collection featuring works by world-class artists. All of them are closely related to Belarus by their very destiny. Skorina, Vankovich, Oleshkevich, Ruschits, Chagall, Tsadkin, Soutine, Bakst, Tsarfin, Lyubich, Kikoin, Moiseenko, Zaborov ... The targeted initial segment of collecting - the art of Belarusian artists within the framework of the Paris School - subsequently expanded to collecting national art works beyond time and space boundaries. The Belgazprombank Corporate Collection project became a real creative challenge, within the framework of which we tried to fully present the versatility of Belarusian fine art, from the unique artifact of Francysk Skorina to the modern work of the outstanding artist of modern Belarus Boris Zaborov. Having united unique authors within the framework of one album, we feared that the integrity of the perception of the publication would be lost, but in the end we got an almanac that showed the development of the Belarusian fine arts, which has its own unconditional bright traditions.
