One day in March 1938 the author's stepfather and two uncles, engineers by profession, were arrested. The family was told they were sentenced to ten years of imprisonment with no correspondence permitted. The son was more lucky - just imprisonment. Working as a doctor he managed to survive in almost inhuman conditions. This book is an autobiographical narration about these horrible years.
