The book is devoted to the history of political assassinations and assassinations committed in Lviv in the middle of the XIX - first half of the XX century. On the basis of documents, memoirs and press publications, the assassination attempts on Andrzej Potocki, Jozef Pilsudski, Stanislaw Sobinski, Ivan Babi, Otto Bauer, Gavriil Kostelnyk, Jaroslav Galan and others are covered in detail. All the events described in the book are presented in the broad context of the political life of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Polish Commonwealth of the interwar period, the western Ukrainian lands of the German and Soviet occupation. The publication is addressed to amateurs and history teachers, all who are interested in the political history of Ukraine in the XIX-XX centuries.
