According to written sources, Lukovo has been known since the 16th century. Then it was the village of Lukoe, Lyakhovsky Voytovst, Polesie Volost, Beresteysky Povet, Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
During the Great Patriotic War, 220 residents of the Lukovsky village council fought against the German fascist invaders at the fronts and in partisan detachments, of which only 115 people returned home alive.
On the territory liberated from the German occupation, the organs of Soviet power were restored. The village of Lukovo became the center of the Lukovo village council.
Information about the Lukovskaya church is available in documents for 1653, 1668, 1669, 1724, 1742, 1786, 1792. In 1668 Lukovskaya church had 5 land drags (drags - 21.36 hectares). Two of them have long belonged to the temple, one was given in 1653 and two more - in 1659. As already mentioned in the first part of this study, a new one, also wooden, was built on the site of the burnt church. It happened in 1819. The year of construction of the church is indicated in the "Bulletin of the Church of the Lukovskaya Nativity of the Mother of God, Grodno province, Brest district and deanery for 1905", which is in the National Historical Archives of Belarus in Grodno.
