Luck in the First World War: The Suffering of the Serbs The monograph looks at a whole series of global events in the Great War, in Austria-Hungary itself, but also the relationship of the Dual Monarchy with other great powers, especially Russia. Long-term archival research in Vienna, Budapest, Sentandreja, Belgrade, Sremski Karlovci, Novi Sad, Sremska Mitrovica and Zagreb provided us with information that clearly testifies to the wartime suffering and hardships of the Serbs from the Srem area.
