"Memories of a Citizen" by Viktor Loboda is a surprisingly talented, complex and accurate document of his time. The author scrupulously describes the events of his very dramatic life - childhood, adolescence, youth, maturity. The text, written in the 1980s, tells about the Ukrainian Ekaterinoslav, and then Dnepropetrovsk, about the coexistence of people of different nationalities and cultures, about friends and enemies, about their own and others. Victor Loboda, having passed all the bloody millstones of the twentieth century, remained an optimistic and bright man. Evidence of this are these brilliant memories.
