Litvinovichi is one of the oldest settlements on the edge. The book provides a historical, cultural and geographic overview of the local area: photocopies of archival documents, recollections of witnesses, photographs, diagrams. According to legend, the founder of the village of Litvin, the village is no less than 600 years old, however, in written sources, the settlement was mentioned in the Inventory of the Chechersky elder only in 1704. After 70 years, the Litvinovichsky lands passed into the possession of the Russian Count Chernyshev.
Towards the end of the 19th century, Litvinovichi already had St. Kuzma-Demyanovskaya Church, a parish school, a windmill and a water mill, a shop, a cloth and a tavern. The appearance of the agricultural town of Litvinovichi, which we know today, was acquired in the 1970s and 80s.
