What must happen so that the Roma do not stink and love you? How to inspire the whole village for joint activities? Do we need to understand bees? Which problems bother Eastern Slovakia the most? Why is it necessary to go to Auschwitz? Why is it so cool in the world of creative people? How is it possible that the Roma work in Spissky Hrhov? Is it worth falling for? What "Roma genes" do we need? And why does life alone write the best speech? The mayor of Spissky Hrhov, Vladimir Ledecky, writes in 73 deeply personal feuilletons about his village, but also about ideas that far exceed the boundaries of the village area. Sensitively, but at the same time, he directly mentions the biggest problems of coexistence with the Roma, but above all he shows how he developed a warm relationship with them and was able to help them. Mutual help, positive motivation, creativity and activity are the central motifs of the feuilletons. They are spiced up by stories from foreign trips to exotics or deeper reflections on the state of society. Stefan Hrib about the book: I consider the handling of the state, the media and, in fact, most of us with the Roma community to be one of the biggest sins since 1989. That's why we publish this book. Its author has shown that there is no impersonal solution to the Roma problem, so if we are to help each other, any well-thought-out projects or Eurofunds are not enough. Spissky Hrhov is a crown proof that if we want to solve the problem of settlements, we must have not only good ideas, but also the courage to have a personal relationship.
