The proposed manual contains winged expressions about linguistic units of all levels of the language hierarchy, which are united by thematic principle and are considered in the following sections of linguistics: phonetics, graphics, spelling, orthoepy, morphemes, word formation, lexicology, phraseology, grammar. In addition to linguistic aphorisms, the authors of which are well-known linguists, writers, philosophers, the manual also contains some winged expressions of folklore origin (proverbs and sayings). Figurative associations, a harmonious combination of deep meaning with the original form opens a new vision of an already known linguistic phenomenon and allows the use of linguistic aphorisms and figurative expressions in the study of the Ukrainian language school course and in extracurricular activities.
