The collection of Lettish poetry represents the verse pieces of not only renowned and popular national poets but also the young and fresh ones and includes such names as Egils Plaudis, Knuts Skujenieks, Uldis Berzins, Leons Briedis, Velga Krile and many others. The peculiarity of this book is that the poems have been printed in two languages - the language in which they were composed - Lettish - and Russian language. The collection has been artistically designed with sketches and photographs. Several lines are given afore each set of poems to the authors who have composed them, giving short information on them and their creative activity.
