The publication is dedicated to the person of the Basilian brother Joseph (Ivan) Grodsky (1869-1947), who for 37 years was a close assistant to the miter. Andrei Sheptytsky, executor of many of his assignments, manager of metropolitan chambers and cashier of metropolitan estates. As a writer, Br. Grodsky left behind, in addition to a number of religious works for the people, several extensive memoirs about the miter. Sheptytsky and relations in the then Greek Catholic Church, and in particular about the circumstances of the appointment of Stanislaviv Ep. Khomyshyn and conflicts among the Galician episcopate, the introduction of new monastic congregations in Galicia, the removal of the miter. Sheptytsky to Kyiv in September 1914, meetings of the metropolitan with Orthodox bishops in 1919, trips of the metropolitan. Sheptytsky to America and Canada in 1910 and 1921-1922 and his internment in Poznan, the visit of Fr. Gudecek in 1934. These essays, still virtually unknown to the scientific community, are published here mostly on the basis of original typescripts and manuscripts with detailed critical commentary.
