A novel by contemporary Bulgarian author Hristo Karastoyanov. Blending fact and fiction, the book looks into what happened after the death in 1925 of two Bulgarian intellectuals: poet Geo Milev and anarchist Georgi Sheitanov, who contributed to Milev's literary magazine "Plamuk" (banned four months before Milev's death). The families of both Milev and Sheitanov refused to accept that they had been killed, although they were executed (unofficially, at least in Milev's case). So the author asks, what happens after someone dies, and does life have a second half? Karastoyanov conceived the novel as a sequel to his award-winning "The Same Night" but eventually spun it off into something else.
