The finds illustrate the stages of existence in the river valley of the northern part of Sakhalin Island, 8700–8100 years ago (cal.), of the original complex, which has in its inventory the expressive features of the Neolithic period, characteristic of the island cultures of northeast Asia in the period of the VII – I millennium BC.
