Letters from the Front are a relic, a sincere document of the Great Patriotic War, in which the author, Nikolai Yakovlevich Ryadovikov, senior sergeant, squad commander of the 49th separate communications battalion, personal badge number 328, talks about the soldier's life, military episodes, front-line routine; expresses touching concern for his wife, mother, son, relatives, colleagues who remained in the rear... These letters could be called "Letters about Love", since they are imbued with love for the Motherland, wife, Maria Vasilievna Uglovskaya, colleagues and loved ones. Many letters contain poetic lines, all the poems are collected in a separate section. The book attempts to synchronize the events described by the soldier in the letters with official information from open electronic sources of the military unit where he served - the Estonian Corps. Here are also posted family photographs and brief memoirs from different years by N. Ya. Ryadovikov about his almost hundred-year life, full of various events.
