This is the first publication based on materials of the Department of Manuscripts and Rare Books of Tartu University Library in Estonia. It presents a part of the unique collection of autographs, which belongs to Helle Ratsep. This famous Estonian collector handed over the collection to the Library in 1988. The reader is proposed seven letters to H. Ratsep from famous biologist Joy Adamson, written in 1973-1976. Joy Adamson's name became known all over the world after the publication of her book 'Born Free' in 1960.
