The book presents the most interesting letters written by the patriarch of Bulgarian literature Ivan Vazov (1850-1921). It marks the centenary of Vazov's death. The letters are divided into 20 sections depending on their recipients. They cover all stages of the writer's life, including the years of emigration, the time he spent in Eastern Rumelia and the period after his return to Sofia. The content is varied, ranging from business-style notifications to deeply personal revelations. Vazov's correspondence with members of his family and his partner and muse Evgenia Mars hold a special place. Anniversary messages occasioned by his birthday are also included.
