Georgians are rich people. The first sign of this wealth is diversity, which is manifested everywhere: in various geographical environments or contrasting climatic zones, in appetizing dishes or polyphonic songs, in folk architecture or traditional farming, in character traits or in language-dialects... The work of researching Georgian languages has a long history, and many scientists of several generations deserve praise for it. However, on the other hand, modern existence and civilization, like thousands of other small languages, have put Megrul-Lazur and Svanur in great danger. As time passes, fewer and fewer people speak these languages, especially children and young people.
