This is the first edition in Russian historiography entirely devoted to the history of Lenin order. It tells about institution of the order, its design, issues connected with manufacturing of the order. The album also describes decorating ceremonies and mentions a number of people decorated with the order. Separate chapter of the album is devoted to Stalin order which was not instituted and was left at a design stage. The appendix contains copies of documents directly relating to Lenin order and draft Stalin order.
