The author proposes a new perspective that allows us to look at the issues of regulating state symbols in a much broader way, introducing the reader to the history of the coat of arms, anthem and national (state) colors, presenting their political conditions, and thus showing how closely the history of symbols was connected with the history of the Polish state. It also presents a wide range of views on the meaning and form of symbols - both in historical terms and from the perspective of contemporary authors.
It must be recognized that this is an important and interesting voice in the Polish scientific literature on constitutional law. The author with great erudition moves in the area of the history of the state, discussions that took place in the past about symbols, and also independently analyzes the norms regarding their status today, carefully examining the judiciary practice and convincingly building his own conclusions about the importance of protecting state symbols.
