There are several pages in the history of Latvia in the 20th century, which have also remained unreturned and unread. The events followed one another so quickly that it was not even possible to count the victims of the dramatic events, let alone their names and years, because after the next drastic turn, the roles have completely changed. The victims, as long as they survived, judged others, but the heroes of the past, the living and the dead, became the defendants. This book tells about different people living in different parts of Latvia. Their paths of life have hardly crossed, but without realizing it, they were like-minded people. Of course, the theme of silent characters is not exhausted with this book. In fact, this is only the first step towards the goal of searching for and finding the names of people that our society can be proud of. It's nothing that they lived and worked for more than half a century ago. Our nation must recognize its heroes, because their actions are the roots of the present and future of Latvian society.
