The year 2019 began with a significant event - the Riga Latvian Society restored its established tradition of printed books by the book publishing house - Ilze Bumane, in honor of the Riga Latvian Society's 150th anniversary, published the book "Latvian Societies in Latvia: History or Future?" The publication introduces the reader to 22 Latvian societies operating in the historical regions of the country - Kurzeme, Zemgale, Vidzeme and Latgale. There are a number of working societies called cultural societies, but their origins are deeply rooted in the Latvian aspirations of the people.
