Book novelty dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the legendary leader. Vladimir Teteruk and Yevgeny Solnyuchenko united under one cover and systematized almost all previously published documents, materials and photographs for the biography of Oleg Ktatorov, newspaper articles about him and memories. The compilers also supplemented the collection with rare photo-chronicles and new interesting facts from the life of the first director. They were provided by Naftan veterans who were fortunate enough to work under the direction of Oleg Alexandrovich.
The collection consists of four parts. The first of them publishes an autobiography of Oleg Ktatorov and a short essay by Vladimir Teteruk on the start of construction of the Polotsk Oil Refinery. The second part contains the memories of friends and colleagues of Oleg Alexandrovich about his director and the first steps at the plant. This block is probably the core of the book. Diligence and professionalism, decency and modesty of the leader find full compliance with the personal qualities of his faithful associates. In this human "chemistry", perhaps, lies the secret of the success of their common cause. Of great interest is the third part of the book, Oleg Ktatorov in Periodicals. It included not only the best publications about the first director of the Polotsk Oil Refinery. Also presented are articles prepared by Oleg Aleksandrovich himself and today are practically inaccessible to a wide readership. Oleg Ktatorov is hardly the only hero of this biographical publication. As if once in real life on the construction sites of the plant, and on the pages of the book, he gathered around him all his glorious guards of the 1958-1963 sample. And again, with loyal associates, he successfully launched the first stage of the plant. Therefore, this collection is a tribute to memory and respect not only for the first director, but also for the entire first generation of Novopolotsk oil refiners.
