The book is devoted to the interesting and engaging topic of the history of everyday life. The book is divided into four main parts. In the introduction, the author writes about what the history of everyday life actually is and also about how the chronological period of the early modern period is defined. The first part of the book is devoted to the political, economic and military history of Kremnica in the 16th-18th centuries. The second part focuses on topics in the history of everyday life, the third part specifically on the topic of criminality in history, and the fourth part on biographical research. At the beginning of each thematic section, there is a chapter devoted to the theory and history of research in that research area. This is followed by chapters with topics from the specific historiographical practice of games, testaments, dress, hygiene, disasters, forms of communication, collecting, the shooting club, brigandage, coin counterfeiting, disputes over honour, and biographical medallions of the mining administrator Juraj Freiseisen (16th century) and the richtar Anton Kormendi (18th century). The texts are supplemented by an interesting pictorial appendix consisting of contemporary written and pictorial documents.
