The dictionary is the first collection of pejorative vocabulary of the Komi language (individual words and lexical phrases), which includes both Komi-Zyryan and Komi-Permyak material. The book contains more than 1900 headwords from Komi sources. The dictionary was compiled over nine years by the head of the Department of Language, Literature and Folklore of the Institute of Language, Literature and History of the Federal Research Center of the Komi Scientific Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor Evgeny Tsypanov.
