The book tells about the main shrine of the Borisoglebsky (Kolozhsky) temple - the icon of the Holy Mother of God "Kolozhskaya", its origin, centuries-old history and miracles. Kalozha Church of Boris and Gleb Kolozha Church is an architectural pearl of ancient Grodno, in the tradition of Byzantine temple architecture, a unique monument of ancient Orthodox architecture of the 12th century in Belarus and all of Eastern Europe. Kolozha Church is located near the Old Grodno Castle, which many centuries ago was the residence of the Grand Duke Vytautas. Borisoglebskaya Church, Kolozha Church or simply Kolozha is one of the surviving architectural structures of Belarus from the period of Ancient Rus. The only surviving (in a distorted form) monument of Black Russian architecture. Situated on the high bank of the Neman River. Together with the complex of monuments of Castle Hill, it was declared a historical and architectural reserve. It is among the sites proposed by the Belarusian government as candidates for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
