Koliivshchyna (1768–1770) was a national liberation struggle of the Ukrainian people for the restoration of their sovereign state with a revolutionary model of social equality, which was only later implemented and still operates on the European continent. It was led by heroes-haidamaks, who, not afraid of torture and death, broke into battle, "giving their lives" for the will of Ukraine and for their people. They were guided by the people's right to revolt, first enshrined in the Great Charter of Liberties of 1215, the natural right to resist tyranny and oppression, the sacred right to dignity. Such a right was and is extremely important for Ukraine. This right, which is still enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, proclaimed by the UN General Assembly on December 10, 1948, is a truly universal guarantee of the exercise and, most importantly, the protection of all other human and civil rights.
