Russian translation of the legendary book by Baldur Koester, published in 2000 in Germany. The architect Baldur Koester was so taken with this idea that for four years, until 2000, he carried out an inventory of all significant buildings in the city, describing in detail each object. Particular attention should be paid to the drawings, plans that the author specially made for the German-language publication, and photographs taken personally by the author almost 20 years ago in Kaliningrad. The application presents a unique concept developed by Baldur Koester, involving the restoration of the historical buildings of the island of Kneiphof. The Russian-language edition includes an article by Raisa Minakova, local historian and expert on her native city. She talks about both successful examples of building restoration and architectural monuments that require immediate conservation and restoration. The book also included an article by Daniil Radinovich about Baldur Koester and his work.
