The book tells the story of the glorious Astrakhan family of the Khlebnikovs, from which came merchants, Duma officials, leaders of the nobility, scientists, artists, and inventors. This family gave the world the great poet Velimir Khlebnikov, who introduced Astrakhan into the geography of world literature with the poem "Hadji-Tarkhan", the article "The Astrakhan Gioconda", the story "Esir" and other works.
The book contains the most complete biographies of Catherine, Boris and Alexander Khlebnikov (the poet’s sister and brothers). A number of family photographs and documents were published for the first time. The publication of the book is timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Velimir Khlebnikov House-Museum in Astrakhan. Author: Alexander Aleksandrovich Mamaev is the author of six books and more than a hundred articles, a participant in Astrakhan, Moscow, Novgorod, Amsterdam, Lyon research Khlebnikov conferences and a seminar on comparative studies based on Russian literature in Sao Paulo (Brazil).
