The ensemble "Sacred Cedar Grove" is part of a complex of monuments on the shore of Lake Syrkovy Sor (Salym village), located in the Bolshoi Salym River basin. This complex consists of objects of archaeological heritage from different periods and represents the culture of the ancient and modern aboriginal population of the region. A number of objects from this complex in 1911 were described and photographed by R. L. Shultz and B. N. Gorodkov.
