The book reflects the place of Karabakh in the history and culture of Azerbaijan. The etymological meaning of the name "Karabakh" was given, and the events that took place here from the 13th century to the beginning of the 20th century were highlighted. The administrative-territorial division of Karabakh, which was never part of any Armenian state and flourished in the 18th and 19th centuries, which was carried out purposefully after the occupation of Tsarist Russia, was touched upon. The resettlement of Armenians, disruption of the demographic and cultural balance has been cited as one of the main factors of the conflict on the national level.
