In this work, the author, relying on numerous archival documents, tried to present the life of not only the native Cossacks, but also the Kalmyks who had recently entered the Cossack class. Research allowed us to establish the history of the emergence of new Kalmyk Cossack clans, the life and service of the native Kalmyk Cossacks over three centuries of Astrakhan Cossackdom.
