The Andrei Sakharov Prize “For the Journalism as a Deed” is awarded to Russian journalists for the materials which express their living position and defend the values of democracy and freedom of speech. The collection portrays a broad panorama of the contemporary Russian journalism and comprises articles of 22 authors (the laureates, nominees and finalists) from Bashkiria, Tuva, Udmurtia, Khakassia, Chechnya, Belgorod, Volgograd, Kamchatka, Moscow, Sverdlovsk, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk and St.Petersburg.
