Proceedings from the seminar dedicated to the scientific work of Jelena Pastekova, laureate of the 2021 Petr Mihalik Prize, focuses primarily on selected topics and features of her research in the field of literature and cinematography. He follows the dialogical contacts of Slovak film and literature in the 20th century against the background of a detailed panorama of the history of society, turning points and turbulences in politics, changes in the development of culture and art. The publication includes texts by Jelena Pastekova's colleagues, who represent both of her home institutions, the Institute of Slovak Literature of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and the Department of Audiovisual Studies at the Film and Television Faculty of VSMU.
